Radiohead's New Album Will Have a Song From the 'Bends'/'OK Computer' Era !!!

Thom Yorke performs during weekend one, day three of the Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park on Oct. 6, 2013 in Austin, Texas]

Also, Philip Selway performs pair of solo songs live on "Kimmel."

Back in November, we heard that Radiohead was "fumbling" around the studio via the band's Jonny Greenwood. Apparently the band starts studio sessions without much collective coherence, but according to an interview with the Dutch music website 3voor12, at least one song from the new album isn't very new at all.

Greenwood first pointed out that most Radiohead albums have included songs that were first conceived many years prior. He points out "Nude" as an example (it appeared on 2007's In Rainbows but was written in 1997) and then says the band's forthcoming record will include a reworked version of "Lift," a track they performed as early as 1996.

"We never found the right arrangement for that, until then," Greenwood said (translated from Dutch). "'Lift' is just like that. When the idea is right, it stays right. It doesn't really matter in which form."
Below is a recoding of "Lift." Radiohead diehards might know it from Towering Above the Rest, an unauthorized rarities compilation that popped up in 2004.

No release date or title has been revealed for the new album.

In other Radiohead news, Philip Selway stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (June 17) to perform a pair of tracks from his new album Weatherhouse. Check out "Around Again" and "Coming Up For Air" below:
